What in the world is this place doing here? It doesn't belong. In the middle of nowhere, attached to a truck stop? It makes no sense! There should be an Arby's here, or God forbid maybe another subway. But I'm glad there isn't, because genuine good food is hard to find when you're right in the middle of nowhere.
Wasn't even hungry when I came, so just got a soup of the day (steak and potato) - aaaaahmayziiing
And also got the ribeye cheesesteak with beer battered fries. Soft roll stuffed with THIN & TENDER slices of ribeye. The meat wasn't chewy, it didn't have all that nasty fat you gotta chew through, the meat was certainly some of the best meat I've had in a "cheesesteak". The green pepper in there was fresh and crunchy - just like it oughta be. The beer battered fries are a definite win: presentation aside they are really good fries.
Been driving past this spot for 5 years, and never noticed it because hey - it's an oversized gas station... making it a routine stop along this route from now on. -

True Southern Hospitality, from the time we walked in until the time we left, the customer service was great!
This place has a little bit of everything. The building sits in the same parking lot as a gas station and between the restaurant and the gas station, there's a western clothing store. I know that sounds weird, but it really works and it's nice to look around while your waiting on your table.
The restaurant itself is worth the drive. The menu is full of good southern cooking. They serve breakfast all day and the coffee is great. I had the huevos rancheros and my daughter had the patty melt, both really good.
We will definitely be back to eat and maybe pick up a cowboy hat and some boots! YEEHAW LOL! -

The waitress is friendly, but in the kitchen I think the cooks are not interested in giving a good service to the customer, I wonder, who can eat this?

Stopped here on the way to nakona factory glove tour. Forgot to take pics of food. Bathroom was clean.

True Southern cooking at its finest. Chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, Grandma's pot roast? Take your pick.
I decided to go with a 6oz sirloin steak with a salad and baked potato. The steak was perfectly cooked with wonderful flavor.
Our waitress was absolutely sweet. She checked in often and made sure everything came out as we'd hoped.
She offered banana pudding for dessert, but we were all just too stuffed to eat any more.
I'll definitely be back. Next time...breakfast!
